Growing up in a family that cherished capturing memories through photographs laid a strong foundation for Jack's love of the art.
As a fortuitous minor part of his intelligence career and later his law enforcement career as a U.S. federal agent, Jack was an internationally certified forensics photographer. His forensics photographic evidence has been accredited in the federal courts of the United States and twenty-two other countries, and at the World Court of Justice. His passion for photography deepened through his work in forensics photography.
Jack has been an active nature and macro photographer for many years and has taught a variety of photography classes both in the United States and abroad. After taking numerous training courses and workshops from the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and other organizations to enhance his judging abilities, he has been actively judging for the PSA since 2016.
Jack was recognized in the 2024 edition of PSA’s “Who’s Who” of Photography as PSA’s 4th most awarded exhibitor in the United States and the 10th most awarded exhibitor worldwide for his achievements in nature photography in international competitions. He also placed in the top 5% of most awarded exhibitors in the United States and worldwide in the color, monochrome, travel and journalism photography divisions.
Since their retirements, Jack and his wife Sheri, who is also a photographer, are enjoying spending much of their time photographing the natural beauty and wildlife of the United States and other countries.
